Every artist has a story — and you’re probably wondering what lies behind Milly’s Art Trips…

 

Milly — Elly Maria Garcia — is now 13 years old. She began her artistic journey at the age of 9, and over the years her style has grown with her. Today she expresses emotions in ways that are both beautifully mature and delightfully funny — a blend that makes her artwork truly one of a kind.

What started as relaxing moments of drawing and painting with different techniques soon became a meaningful space for emotional expression. Music remains a second language for her: playing the violin, piano, ukulele, and guitar helps her name and shape feelings, while easing the pressures of everyday life. These creative practices also strengthen her coordination and help her master the subtle art of holding and working with artistic and musical instruments.

Her creative time is also a welcome pause from her many activities — playing tennis, dancing, learning a third language, or horse riding.

From these pockets of calm, imagination, and joyful experimentation, Milly’s artworks emerge — unique, original, evolving pieces that reveal her growing sensitivity, her warm humor, and the gentle way she connects with the world. Each creation remains a source of comfort and happiness for her family.

We decided to create a virtual Gallery of Milly’s works so that now, and many years from now — wherever life takes us — we can admire them together and return to those magical, unforgettable moments of their creation.

We also want to share Milly’s art with a wider audience — even in the smallest way — hoping to open hearts to the wonderfully imaginative, emotional, and sometimes playfully witty creations of a talented 13-year-old girl, whose life story is as extraordinary as the art she makes.
